Jim Colbert

Jim Colbert attended Kansas State University, where he finished 2nd in the NCAA golf championships in 1964. A year later, Colbert turned professional and won on the PGA Tour eight times, including twice in 1983, when he finished a career best fifteenth on the money list. As a senior pro, Colbert has won 24 tournaments on the Champions Tour, including the 1993 Senior Players Championship. He was the Tour’s leading money winner in 1995 and 1996. Since then, Colbert has worked as a golf analyst for ESPN and owns a golf management company based in Las Vegas. He's been inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, the Nevada Sports Hall of Fame, and the First Tee of Southern Nevada Hall of Fame.

 


Dr. Joseph Parent

Dr. Joseph ParentDr. Joseph Parent is the best-selling author of Zen Golf and a distinguished PGS tour instructor. Dr. Parent is also a resident PGA instructor at the Ojai Valley Spa and Inn Golf Course.

 

 


Michael O'Keefe

Michael O'Keefe Michael O’Keefe is an actor on Broadway, in films, and on television. O'Keefe is best known for his role as Danny Noonan in the 1980 comedy Caddyshack. Additionally, he received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his role in The Great Santini. Mr. O’Keefe maintained a longstanding television role on the television series “Roseanne” and made guest appearances on "Saving Grace," "The West Wing," “ Criminal Minds,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and “M*A*S*H.”

 

Dinner Speaker :

The Honorable Anthony Lake Tony Lake is Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He served from 1993-1997 as Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. From 1981-1992 Mr. Lake was Five College Professor of International Relations at Amherst and Mount Holyoke colleges. Mr. Lake joined the State Department in 1962, where he served until 1970 as a Foreign Service Officer, with assignments in Vietnam and on the NSC staff. After work with the Muskie Campaign, the Carnegie Endowment and International Voluntary Services, Mr. Lake returned to the State Department in 1977 to serve as Director of Policy Planning for President Carter, a position he held until 1981. In 1961, Mr. Lake received an A.B. degree from Harvard College. He read international economics at Trinity College, Cambridge and went on to receive his Ph.D. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1974. Mr. Lake is the author of a number of books.


Mr. Lake’s board and advisory memberships include the Marshall Legacy Institute (Chair), Freedom House, the Board of Trustees at Mount Holyoke College, and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (past Chair and Board Member).
From 1998 to 2000, as a White House Special Envoy, Mr. Lake facilitated the agreement ending the conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
